In response to an article sent to me from a New Zealand newspaper this morning I feel strongly that we need to remind people just how dangerous Breed Specific Legislation can be and how even when the politicians do try to ban breeds, they still get it wrong.
I hope this will not be read as an attack on other breeds. I have tried to point out that the whole concept of BSL is wrong but the thrust of this article is targeted at misrepresentation and its deadly effects.

Help needed in New Zealand - Another Domino?
At the request of several members of New Zealand's Staffordshire Bull Terrier Clubs via the KC Breed Liaison Officer, Caroline Kisko, Secretary of the (UK) Kennel Club has been in contact with Mr George Mills at the New Zealand Kennel Club to offer any support or advice in the current BSL debate.
