Hopeful News From Upper Austria: 21.04.02 On 17.April was a meeting of the Commitee working on the new legislation. Invited was Mrs. Prof. Dr. Irene Stur (recognized scientist) from the Veterinary University of Vienna. After the meeting a provincial politician main responsible for the new law gave an interview on local TV. He said that the Commitees opinion goes along the lines to cross out the list of dangerous dogs from the new law on dog ownership. He also said the main reason for this direction is that there is no scientific basic to indicate some breeds more dangerous as other !!!! This is good, but it's not definite. As the Commitee have not settled this, we cannot be sure. Next meeting of the Commitee will be in June, maybe that then will pass a resolution. We hope the best. I'll inform you if there are news.
